In the lead up to E3 2020, we’ve heard more this year about who won’t be attending rather than who will. As of now, both Sony Playstation and E3 Coliseum producer Geoff Keighley have both opted to spurn the annual gaming convention this summer, but that doesn’t mean the same can be said for everyone else in the industry.

Via a press release recently sent out by the ESA, it was confirmed which publishers are currently slated to attend the show in 2020 and it features a lot of the usual suspects. Console manufacturers like Nintendo and Xbox will once again be converging at the Los Angeles Convention Center this summer along with other popular publishers such as Square Enix, Ubisoft, and Capcom.

Here’s the confirmed list of attendees so far:

  • Xbox
  • Nintendo
  • Ubisoft
  • Bethesda
  • Sega
  • Capcom
  • Square Enix
  • Take-Two Interactive
  • Bandai Namco Entertainment
  • Warner Bros. Games

Of course, this isn’t the full slate of attendees that will be rolling up to E3 2020 later this year. The ESA says it will be announcing additional details in the coming weeks and months about just who will also be joining the festivities.

As of now, the only noticeable absentees when it comes to AAA publishers seems to be that of Activision-Blizzard and Electronic Arts. That said, EA has opted to hold its own event, EA Play, in proximity to E3 for years at this point and surely won’t be on the guestlist once again.

Activision, on the other hand, is a little bit more intriguing. While the publisher was present at E3 2019, they also didn’t have a proper booth on the show floor that fans and guests could visit. Instead, their presence was confined to meeting rooms scattered around the convention center. It seems likely that Activision could opt to do this once again, but as of now, we aren’t sure what they might be planning.

Regardless, it’s only February so we’re still quite a way out from E3 2020 at this point. We’ll know doubt start to hear a whole lot more about the convention in the near future.
