Finding treasures in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is part and parcel of the game’s makeup, but finding unique and exciting easter eggs makes your adventure around its world even better. Last month, Uncharted 4 was one of the free games in the line up in PS Plus, giving players who didn’t get the chance before to now take on the role of veteran explorer Nathan Drake and find some easter eggs of their own as there’s quite a lot to be unearthed. One eagle-eyed adventurer, whilst diving in the game, found a pretty awesome The Last of Us reference at the bottom of the ocean.

It goes without saying that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is an incredible game. Among the enticing storylines, fantastic graphics, and epic escapades – Uncharted 4 has a mass of easter eggs just waiting to be uncovered. A few of them include the E3 2015 fail demo where if you recreate the E3 fail and stand still for 30 seconds after the cutscene you will unlock the trophy, The Last of Us DLC “Left Behind” statue, Elena number plate on the jeep, a Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey island portrait, and a poster in Cassie’s room called The Last of Us: American Daughters which is in reference to The Last of Us’ comic series, American Dreams.

This time, however, one gamer has found yet another The Last of Us reference hidden deep beneath the waves which no one has come forward, as yet, to claim they had also found it. Twitter user  GermanStrands claims that whilst swimming around in Uncharted 4 looking for some nice places to take photographs, they stumbled across a clicker laying at the bottom of the ocean. If you aren’t familiar with the Clickers from The Last of Us, then they are Infected humans who have been infected and subsequently mutated into horrific new forms by the Cordyceps Brain Infection and are recognizable by fungus protruding from their heads due to the growth of mycelium inside the brain tissue and killing the brain’s cells. Lovely, huh?

Anthony Vaccaro who is an environment artist at Naughty Dog was delighted at GermanStrands discovery and ended up quoting his tweet saying “I think this is the first time I have seen someone post about finding this fun little Uncharted 4 easter egg I made. Subtle and well-hidden Easter eggs are a blast to include”

Have you found any of these easter eggs in Uncharted 4 or even new ones that maybe no one has discovered yet? Let us know in the comments!

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released on May 10th, 2016, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The Last of Us Part II is set to release in just a few short weeks on June 19, exclusively on PS4.
