As you might have heard, on April 1st, PlatinumGames revealed the fourth Platinum 4 announcement. Turns out it was an April Fools joke, and Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya explained it over on Twitter. However, in an Umineko level plotwist, PlatinumGames do have a fourth real announcement in store with Platinum 4.

On April 3, PlatinumGames updated the Platinum 4 page to include a new undisclosed 2020 date and the bonus stage text appearing.

A tweet to notify the change was published as well. This Platinum 4 Bonus Stage announcement is set for sometime in 2020. Meaning we might not hear anything for awhile, or it could as well be this week. In any case, we’ll keep you updated.

In case you missed it, here are the Platinum 4’s previous announcements: The Wonderful 101 Remaster Kickstarter. The reveal of Project G.G (spiritual successor to Viewtiful Joe and Wonderful 101) . The launch of a new PlatinumGames studio in Tokyo.

PlatinumGames is also currently working on a new engine we explained lengthily here. This new engine will allow the company to challenge itself and keep creating highly original games.

PlatinumGames still has yet to reveal more news regarding  Bayonetta 3 or Babylon’s Fall. Maybe this Platinum 4 Bonus Stage announcement will be related to one of these two highly anticipated games.
