One Piece World Seeker is going to bring the open-world gameplay style to the popular anime series, and today I got to check out the game myself on PS4.
To be honest, the world wasn’t very open in the demo, as everything besides a small area was locked out. On the other hand, i managed to try plenty of combat gameplay and even a boss battle against Sakazuki, A.K.A. Admiral Akainu.
The combat works pretty well, but it was hindered in the demo by the lack of a lock-on feature. That being said, I’ve been told that it’s coming.
Interestingly, there are two stances available, with completely different moves. Even defense maneuvers vary as one has a block and the others a dodge.
If you want to see for yourself what the game looks like you can enjoy the video below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy a trailer from earlier today.
One Piece: World Seeker will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in 2018, and you can pre-order it on Amazon.
