TakaraTomy is working on a new Zoids Wild game for Nintendo Switch, the usual magazine leaks revealed. This new game will be launching this winter 2020. For now it’s tentatively titled “Zoids Wild Brand New Game Project” and has been confirmed to be a follow-up to Zoids Wild: King of Blast, released on February 28, 2019, on Nintendo Switch. King of Blast is a 3D versus fighting game with the Zoids and their pilots clashing with each other. The game was never released outside Japan.  A demo is also available on the Japanese Nintendo Switch Eshop.

This new Zoids game was confirmed to allow you to modify your Zoids, change their coloring, and will have new elements compared to the previous game. The graphics have also been improved.

The Zoids Wild project was announced back in February 2018 along with an anime, a manga adaptation, and a mobile game. The first TV anime aired from July 7, 2018, to June 6, 2019. A new anime season called Zoids Wild Zero is currently airing. It started on October 4, 2019. The anime, like many other Japanese productions, was currently on pause with the Covid-19 pandemic. But it’ll resume with Episode 33 starting June 19. An arcade game titled Zoids Wild Battle Card Hunter is also ongoing in Japan.

It’s highly likely this new Switch game will feature the characters and mecha appearing in Wild Zero. The most likely scenario would be the game to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive as well, just like King of Blast. All of this is only speculation though. We’ll be sure to tell you more when we do learn more via the Zoids Japanese Twitter. If you’re into Zoids, like Ulala would say, stay tuned.
