Today at Tokyo Game Show 2018, Konami announced Yume Utsutsu Re:Master, a Girls Love Visual Novel by Kogado Studio.

The game lets you control Ai, who pays a visit to her little sister Kokoro who works at Eureka Soft, a women-only game developer company near Tokyo. Despite having not seen each other for a while, Kokoro acts extremely coldly toward her elder sister. In order to discover what changed her, Ai ends up joining Eureka Soft and becomes in charge of the remake of a popular game titled “Yume Utsutsu, the sacrifice, the witch and the world’s end.”

The game will show the various conflicts and emotions that game developers can go through and the blossoming of love between girls, all fully voiced. It will also have shocking developments and endings, something actually quite common in overly cute Visual Novels, and something Shimarisu, the team inside Kogado in charge of the game, already did as well.

Kogado Studio is a renowned century-old Japanese company that initially dealt in printing. They have strong ties with many Japanese game companies such as Capcom, Square Enix, Takara Tomy or DMM. Since the ’80s, Kogado Studio also started making video games themselves, such as the Power Doll mecha strategy series, the popular music-themed Visual Novel Symphonic Rain, or the town management games of the Deep-Blue series.

After the announcement, Nanoka Franka, the main character of the Deep-Blue series, tweeted on her official account that she hopes her series gets a new game too, so hopefully we may hear about that soon.

Yume Utsutsu Re: Master will launch in Japan for PC, PS4, PS Vita and Switch in February 2019. The PS4 and Switch versions are digital-only.
