If you didn’t get the chance to pick up Shadow of the Tomb Raider when it released on November 13, then you’re in luck as today developer Square Enix has announced that you can now play as the ass-kicking Lara in a free trial on Xbox One, PS4, and PC right now.
In the free trial, you get to encounter the very start of Lara Croft’s journey as she heads off to Cozumel, Mexico whilst The Day of the Dead celebrations are happening – which makes for some stunning visuals having played the game myself. Lara and her loyal companion Jonah take off on the ultimate adventure in a race against the clock to find a hidden tomb before Trinity finds it first.
In Shadow of the Tomb Raiders latest DLC called The Forge, we saw a new challenge tomb where you can get together with a buddy or play it out solo and a Time Attack Mode where you race to complete the tomb in a targeted time frame.
Although, we did see a little bit of negativity steered towards the title back in October this year due to the title going on sale in such a short period of time on Steam, with many buyers feeling “ripped off” and the game has dropped from ‘Mostly Positive’ to ‘Mixed’ on the Shadow of the Tomb Raider‘s Steam page.
