Today marks the launch of pinball platformer Yoku’s Island Express, which was first announced over a year ago, on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. To celebrate, developer Villa Gorilla and publisher Team17 released a launch trailer that gives a general overview of everything the game has to offer.

For those who aren’t aware, Yoku’s Island Express follows the adventures of the titular dung beetle postmaster Yoku as he attempts to free an ancient deity from a restless slumber that a malevolent God Slayer put him into. That being said, navigating around Mokumana doesn’t happen in typical platformer fashion.

Instead, players use flippers scattered around the island to hit Yoku around, like in pinball. That being said, Yoku’s Island Express is still set up like a Metroidvania, which greatly expands the potential of this mechanic. For those that want to learn more about specific aspects of the game, previous trailers went over things like power-ups and characters.

Check out the launch trailer below. Yoku’s Island Express is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and its physical version can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.
