All the way back in April 2019, Microids and PlayMagic announced that they were working on a remake of XIII, the cult-classic first-person shooter from the PS2 era of consoles. The game was originally set to release near the end of last year, but was eventually delayed in August to an undetermined date in 2020. After silence over the past few months, it seems as though we now finally know when the title is set to arrive.

Courtesy of a new product listing for the game on Amazon that contains images of the game’s retail version, it looks as though XIII is set to now release on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC later this year on November 10. The is nearly a full year delay from the originally planned launch date for the remake, which was originally set for November 14, 2019. Microids has yet to confirm this date just yet, but this is almost positively the actual release date.

The description for the game on Amazon also features some of the first images from XIII that we’ve seen in its new high-def form. As expected, the iconic cel-shaded art style from the original are still readily present, but the environments, character models, and items look much cleaner. It remains to be seen how XIII looks in action, but based on these screenshots alone, it seems like this remake is shaping up quite nicely.

If you’re interested, you can check out the box art, limited edition packaging, and some initial screenshots from the XIII remake down below. A new trailer for the game should also be dropping later today, so stay tuned.
