Ahead of its arrival on the Nintendo Switch later this month, a new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition has recently been released and it gives us quite possibly our most extensive look yet at the remake.

If you’re unfamiliar with Xenoblade Chronicles as a whole, this is probably the best video you could watch to inform you of the title. This new trailer, which is aptly titled “All About Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition” gives an overview of the game’s story, world, characters, combat, and the new additions that are being bundled in with this version. As expected, tons of new looks at gameplay and the updated visuals are also seen in this trailer, showing off the game’s gorgeous new appearance.

For those that have already played Xenoblade Chronicles in the past though, likely the most anticipated new featured here in the Definitive Edition comes in the way of a new epilogue that features additional story content. This new aspect of the game takes place one year after the ending and continues the throughline narrative. And best of all, this epilogue isn’t tied behind the mainline story content. Essentially, if you’re a previous fan of the game and want to check out the epilogue right away, it will be accessible from the getgo. No need to play through the entire story all over again.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch at the end of this month on May 29. Keep an eye around release to read more of our thoughts on how this remake has shaped up.
