Today Microsoft released four video showcasing the new backward compatibility features coming to the Xbox One family.

First of all, we learn that the Xbox One X will offer additional improvements for select Xbox 360 games. Showcased in the videos we two different maps of Halo 3, High Ground and The Pit. Both look remarkably good on Microsoft’s upcoming console.

Secondly, we get to see original Xbox games Fusion Frenzy and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic compared between their original looks and the updated visuals running on Xbox One S.

While neither game aged all that well, on the current generation of Xbox they look much cleaner and crisper, and definitely more enjoyable from a purely visual point of view. The feature will be released tomorrow for everyone to enjoy.

Microsoft has been heavily promoting the Xbox One X, and yesterday night they just released a worldwide ad focusing on the console’s power, after teasing it with several smaller clips (of which you can see the first, the second, the third, and the fourth).

If you want to hear more info on the upcoming console, you can watch our interviews with Product Manager Ryan Moore and Samsung National Training Manager Scott Cohen (talking about the partnership between Microsoft and the TV manufacturer). You can also take a good look at our recent hands-on time with Xbox One X, and read our full interview with Aaron Greenberg.

The Xbox One X will hit the shelves worldwide on November 7th, 2017.
