Microsoft is holding a Technical Test for Crackdown 3′s Wrecking Zone, the multiplayer mode.

This multiplayer mode allows the power of the cloud to handle destruction on a massive level, but Microsoft wants to test it out before Crackdown 3‘s launch on February 15, 2019. Thanks to the Azure cloud-power the entire location players will be roaming around in is destructible, something that has been teased for Crackdown 3 and the power of the cloud since its reveal.

Xbox Insiders will be able to try this Wrecking Zone Technical Test starting by beginning to install the client tomorrow, February 7, 2019 beginning at 9:00 AM Pacific and play the game starting at 12:00 PM Pacific that same day. Gameplay will be broken up into two 120 minute stretches with the second beginning at 7:00 PM Pacific time. Wrecking Zone was revealed and detailed at X018. The multiplayer mode features two teams of five fighting each other in a map that can be fully destroyed until there is nothing left. Accessing the game requires launching the Xbox Insider Hub and find the Wrecking Zone: Technical Test under the games category in Insider Content.

Members of the Xbox Insider Program will play the Agent Hunter game mode on the Blackout Zone map, where combatants score points by taking out opposing Agents and collecting their Badges. Additional playtest sessions for the weekend will be announced in the Xbox Insider Hub, Discord and on the Crackdown 3 Facebook and Twitter!

During the Inside Xbox live stream yesterday Terry Crews got to talk a bit more about his role in Crackdown 3, as he has been involved in the game since June 2017. That was back when Crackdown 3 was set to release in November 2017, which obviously didn’t happen. You can watch him disintegrate in a green flash here.

Crackdown 3 arrives after years of delays and questions. First announced at E3 2014Crackdown 3 is finally about to release and will be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch and allows players with a Windows 10 PC to download and play it on that platform as well. The game’s achievements have seemingly been leaked, with twelve of them being dedicated to the multiplayer mode, so you better ready up for some online play if you want to complete the game to 100%. You can pre-order Crackdown 3 on Amazon now for Xbox One and PC or sign up for Xbox Game Pass, currently only $1 for the first month.
