Fitness Boxing will allow players to bring workouts to their home or on the go when it launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on January 4, 2019.
While playing you will participate in boxing-based workouts while listening to 20 unlockable instrumental versions of pop-music. Lady Gaga, Pitbull, LMFAO, Carly Rae Jepson, Maroon 5 and Kesha are the only announced artists at this time. By using the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons you can use the motion controls to punch, weave, and squat to get your body moving and burn calories. Its launch right after New Years will help jump start on your New Year’s resolution and burn off the holiday meals.
Get off the couch and get moving with fun, boxing-based rhythmic exercises set to the instrumental beats of songs by popular artists, including Lady Gaga, Pitbull and Kesha. You can personalize your workouts by selecting from different fitness goals. Train your way, whether you’re on your own, with a friend, at home, or on the go! Now you can work out anytime, anywhere on the Nintendo Switch system!
The daily training option has low- and high-intensity modes, lasts from 10-40 minutes, and allow you to choose from a highly diverse group of trainers who you can even customize further with unlock able outfits. Fitness Boxing estimates your body mass index (BMI) and charts your daily calories burned. Making progress towards goals unlocks more songs and additional challenges. A two-player mode lets you face off in a boxing ring or train alongside each other.
Fitness Boxing will be playable in both Tabletop and TV Mode.
This game appears to be a successor to Wii Fit, an exercise game released in 2008 that worked with the Wii Balance Board in order to track your fitness and featured a variety of games ranging from yoga, balance, and strength training.
Fitness Boxing will release on the Nintendo Switch on January 4, 2019 with no price currently given. You can see some screenshots of the game in the gallery below.
