A brand new summer event is set to begin in Fortnite today (June 22nd) and will last for two weeks, filled with plenty of quests, rewards, and new skins. But one question we all want answering, will it feature a live event?

Fortnite – Cosmic Summer Celebrations
The Cosmic Summer Celebrations Event will begin in Fortnite at the following times:
- 6AM PT
- 9AM ET
- 2PM BST
It will last for two weeks and feature plenty of challenges for players to complete. Once you complete a challenge, you’ll receive a corresponding reward.

So, will the massive Fortnite Summer Event feature a live event too?
Will There Be A Live Event?
Unfortunately, the Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebrations will not feature a live event. Although it will be filled with plenty of content for players, don’t expect a live concert or event.
This has been officially confirmed by an Epic Employee on Reddit. When asked by a fan if a live event would occur in Fortnite at the aforementioned times, the employee responded with:
“The Welcome Party is not a live event, so don’t worry if you won’t be able to play at 9 AM ET. The party will last for two weeks!”
So, no live event this time!
Fortnite v17.10 Update
Although fans won’t be receiving a new live event in Fortnite, there’s still plenty of new content that arrived in the v17.10 update today.
