Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is Dim Bulb Games’ well-regarded narrative adventure through Depression-era America. The game launched on PC in 2018 to solid reviews; however, it did not perform nearly as well commercially. Of course, the hope is that by bringing the game to more platforms, they can increase sales even more. If you have yet to see the game in action, give the PS4 trailer below a watch.

If you were waiting to jump into Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, this seems like a perfect opportunity. Not only will the game now be available where ever you want to play it, but this will be a definitive version of the game. All the updates and fixes are in. This includes the “Tall Tales Update“, which added 15 new vignettes to the game, along with a few quality of life updates.

Personally, I’ll be very interested to see how this performs on consoles. When the game originally released it got a bit lost in the shuffle for me. Where the Water Tastes Like Wine seemed like a game I could get into, but, for whatever reason, I never did. Now, I have that second window to jump in and see for myself how good the story-telling is. At the very least, I think it’s probably worth picking up the soundtrack. That thing slaps.

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine gets a second life on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on December 2. If you’re into great story-telling, unique visuals, and exceptional tunes, you should give it a look.
