NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. blew everyone’s minds back in November when they revealed that the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would soon be arriving as DLC in the superhero fighting game Injustice 2. Today, we have received our first extended look at the Turtles in action.
As you would expect, we see all four Ninja Turtles–Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo–in this trailer with each of them showcasing their own unique moves and weapons. While some may have thought initially that each character would essentially serve as a different skin for, it instead seems like every Turtle will be pretty unique from one another.
There’s also a healthy slew of classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle references showcased in both the move sets for each character and the victory animations that take place after each fight. Some of these include eating pizza, utilizing a skateboard in attacks, and other spoken references to classic Ninja Turtle villains like Bebop. If you’re a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan, you’ll surely find something to geek out about.

The Ninja Turtles will serve as the final DLC characters in Injustice 2’s third fighter pack alongside the previously released characters Enchantress and The Atom. The Ninja Turtles will be available for download at some point this month with a specific date still not given.
