A brand new update has just been released (April 19) for Warzone. We’ve got the full patch notes and the newest changes.

With Season 3 almost upon us, Raven Software has released a brand new update to combat some of the lingering issues facing Warzone players. Find out more below.

Warzone April 19 Update – What Has Changed?

One of the big annoyances of Warzone has finally be changed, RC-XD’s are no longer purchasable at Buy Stations, meaning you won’t accidentally purchase the streak instead of a loadout drop anymore!

It looks like the Sykov meta wasn’t around long, Raven Software has already reduced the movement speed of the weapon and increased the hip spread.

And finally, the last change to come in today’s update is that the glint for certain Sniper Rifle Scopes have been fixed. You can find out more in the patch notes below.

Warzone April 19 Update – Patch Notes

Below you will find the full patch notes for the April 19 Warzone Update. It’s important to note that these are the Season 2 Reloaded Patch Notes, but Raven Software has updated them with the changes implemented on April 19.

GENERAL

  • The RC-XD has been removed from Buy Stations and is now only available via Containment Monitors.
  • Fixed an issue causing players to be unable to equip Armor Plates after activating certain Killstreaks or Field Upgrades.
  • The Containment Protocol missiles will no longer land in the Play Area.
  • The Containment Protocol missiles have had their sound effects volume reduced.
  • Fixed a bug causing Loadout Drops to block movement and projectiles after the crate collapses.
  • King Slayer Trios – The Gas Circle will no longer move completely outside of the Play Area.

BLUEPRINTS

  • The Swatt Master Blueprint now correctly displays the Electric Dismemberment icon.

ATTACHMENTS

  • Fixed a bug with the Modern Warfare Sniper Scope and Variable Zoom Scope where they were not displaying glint.
  • Fixed a bug with Modern Warfare weapon perks where they were not having their intended effects. 
  • Fixed a bug with the Bullseye Reticle where it would sometimes cause frame rate issues or the disappearance of UI elements.
  • Sorokin 140mm Auto (Sykov)
    • Hip spread increased
  • Akimbo (Sykov)
    • Movement speed reduced by 5%
  • 80 Round Drums (Sykov)
    • Movement speed reduced by 5%
    • ADS movement speed reduced by 7%
  • When equipping the Sykov with the Sorokin 140mm Auto and the 80 Round Drums, damage is reduced by 25%.

Cold War & Warzone Season 3

Season 3 of Cold War and Warzone is set to begin on April 22, fans can expect a brand new Battle Pass, New Multiplayer Maps, and possibly even a brand new Warzone map.

There is yet to be any confirmation from Activision about the content coming in Season 3, but what we do know is that there is less than 1 week left to level up that Season 2 Battle Pass.
