FitXR has launched a free weekend for its Early Access title BOXVR.

Now until May 7 at 3 am EST, virtual reality gamers with an Oculus Rift can download the game, via the Oculus Store. For those of you that do not know, BOXVR is a VR hybrid game of sorts, combining everything great about games in the rhythm genre along with boxing titles.

At first glance, BOXVR looks very similar to another virtual reality game, which launched earlier this week on Steam titled Beat Saber. Rest assured though, BOXVR is sporadically different from its competitor and offers a different experience compared to Hyperbolic Magnetism’s title.

In BOXVR, players are tasked with punching through various targets and barriers that are coming in their direction. The fast-paced workout title offers plenty of adrenaline-inducing music and can provide quite the workout as you move every inch of your body and burn a substantial amount of calories in the process.

Of course, BOXVR is not exclusive to Rift owners, those who own an HTC Vive along with a Windows Mixed Reality headset also have access to the title on Steam for $19.99. However, as stated previously, this free weekend is only available to Rift owners, so if you are interested in checking out the title be sure to capitalize on it this weekend.
