Today Sega released quite a few interesting videos and images in a new Valkyria Chronicles 4-dedicated official Twitter account titled Nikola and Kiara’s Investigation Diary.
The account, inspired by enemy characters Nikola Gref and Kiara Rodino, promises to show a lot more about the game from today to its Japanese release in March.
Today’s reveal is dedicated to the game’s hero, Claude Wallace, who is the commanding officer of Squad E, 32nd Armored Ranger Batallion, 1st Battle Brigade, 101st Division of the Edinburgh Army of the Atlantic Federation. Like Welkin in the original game, and unlike Avan and Kurt in the two sequels, he also acts as the commander of the squad’s main battle tank, the Hafen Go.
We get to see two videos, one of which shows Claude leading his squad in battle, and the second showcases an interesting close encounter with one of the game’s heroines, Riley Miller.
On top of that, we also see the original character design sketches for Claude’s winter and summer uniforms, by artist Raita Honjou, allowing us to see the interesting transition from Honjou-sensei’s very recognizable art style to what we see in the actual game.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will hit the shelves both in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2018. It will release in Japan for PS4 on March 21st, 2018 and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
