Valkyria Chronicles 4 Gets New Trailer Showing Snow Cruiser Centurion

Today Sega released a brand new trailer of its upcoming strategy JRPG Senjou no Valkyria 4: Eastern Front, which will be named with the more familiar Valkyria Chronicles 4 title in the west.

The trailer focuses on the snow cruiser Centurion, which is a relevant addition compared to previous games. It’s basically a giant ship able to travel overland by using icy fields.

We get to see the new “Ship Order” mechanic, that lets Claude request support from the Centurion in the form of radar sweeps, artillery, repairs to vehicles, or a rescue armored car.

Towards the end of the trailer, Sega also showcases the ability to upgrade the ship, unlocking new orders and improving the ones we have.

You can check it out below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy a recent batch of screenshots and video featuring the new valkyria Clymaria Lewin, the previous trailer, and the beautiful opening cutscene with the theme song of the game.

If you want to try the game for yourself, a demo is currently available on the Japanese PlayStation Store. If you’d rather just watch, you can check out about an hour of gameplay that I recorded from the demo itself.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will release in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2018. It will launch in Japan for PS4 on March 21st, 2018 and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
