Valheim Cancelled – Is the game actually getting cancelled?

Guides, Originals, PC, Valheim

Valheim has been one of the dark horses in the gaming industry in the past few months. The game quickly rose in popularity and sold over 6 million units in merely a time span of six weeks.

The developers have quite a number of plans for the game, with a long roadmap in place. They are also expanding their team to ensure that they can expand the game even further. Amidst all that, some players are quite worried about whether the game is getting cancelled.

Valheim Cancelled – Is the game actually getting cancelled?

Recently, a video was released online which started this rumor about the game getting cancelled. It quickly became trending on social media and in the community, and people started thinking that the game will be cancelled this year itself. However, these rumors are false and the game is in very much development. A lot of new content is slated to release for the game.

The video was posted by Youtuber Neebs Gaming, and the creator has admitted himself that it was nothing but a clickbait video. While that has been addressed in the video itself, the title gave way to such rumors which are absolutely false.

When is the next Valheim update?

Valheim‘s next update will likely be Hearth and Home, which will predominantly focus on building and crafting elements in the game. As of now, we don’t have a release date for the update. However, the developers did reveal that they have been working on playtesting and bug fixing, which hints that the update might be in quite advanced stages of development. Considering that the game is at its peak, we can expect that the update will be released pretty soon so that the playerbase remains engaged. For now, there is still a lot of content in the game for existing players themselves.
