Famitsu announced on September 2 that its weekly magazine will be participating in the celebrations for the 5th anniversary of Undertale. The issue of Weekly Famitsu releasing on September 10 (officially titled the September 24, 2020 issue) will include an Undertale 5th anniversary feature. The magazine will have 16 pages on Undertale. It’ll include illustrations by Toby Fox, Temmie Chang, and a new postcard to celebrate.

Famitsu is also teasing some announcements to go with the Undertale 5th anniversary. Meaning something big is coming soon.

Undertale is an indie RPG which first first launched on September 15, 2015. The game is available on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. It’s possible next gen versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X could be announced for the anniversary. Maybe we’ll hear more about Deltarune too.

Undertale was initially very inspired from Japanese games such as Moon and the Touhou series by ZUN, so it’s always been nice to see the game managed to get a huge reputation in Japan as well.

Whatever happens, we’ll actually buy Famitsu magazine to check it out to give you further details than the usual leaks, so stay tuned on DualShockers next week.
