During the financial conference call related to fiscal year 2017-18, Ubisoft’s Chief Executive Officer Yives Guillemot talked about the future of the publisher’s franchises on mobile.

Guillemot explained that Ubisoft is noticing that mobile platforms are becoming more and more powerful. They feel that with time, the increase in power and streaming technology will enable the publisher to release its AAA games on mobile.

They’re currently working with their development teams so that future games can be prepared while keeping in mind that they can be on PC, consoles, and also mobile, either via streaming or running natively on the smart devices

During the conference call, no details or further information were provided on which franchises might make the jump to mobile devices, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future, and on what scale this will materialize.
