Just in time for the commencement of the Overwatch League, Blizzard and Twitch have partnered up to bring every match to the popular streaming service.
For the first two seasons, Twitch will be the exclusive worldwide third-party provider for Overwatch League. It will be the one and only place you will be able to watch the stream — available in English, Korean, and French — save for Blizzard’s own site. However, this deal does not include China.
Twitch will also be working with Blizzard to bring new rewards to Overwatch League viewers in the form of exclusive in-game items and Cheermotes which will be announced when they are available.
For the uninitiated, Overwatch League is Blizzard’s eSports organization for its popular hero shooter. For the first season, twelve teams — each representing a major city from American, Asian, and European regions — will compete at an arena located in Los Angeles.
The first season begins tomorrow at 4pm PST when the San Francisco Shock and the Los Angeles Valiant face-off. Following the inaugural match will be the Shanghai Dragons against the Los Angeles Gladiators as well as the Dallas Fuel against the Seoul Dynasty. The competition will continue for the rest of the week until January 13th, 2018.
