If you’re a fan of both Blackout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 then things might be getting a little bit interesting for you in the upcoming days. Today, Treyarch began teasing…well, we don’t really know what, but it has something to do with the game’s battle royale mode and more specifically, the undead that spawn in it.

The tease itself, which was tweeted out by the developer, includes the phrase “where did all the Zombies go?” when referring to the Blackout mode. Currently, if you jump into the world no zombies will spawn at any of the possible points around the map. This means that, until further notice, you can drop in Asylum, Lighthouse, Nuketown Island, and the small section below Rivertown without the fear of being slaughtered by the undead.

Another interesting part of the tease is “it’s cold out there in the world of Blackout” and “are they planning something for the holidays?” These could be direct hints that a now overlay could be coming to the in-game map. A few weeks back we got snowballs, so it’s not too far out of the realm of possibility.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can pick it up from Amazon by clicking here.
