Not only will we hear more of Geralt’s gruff yet soothing voice in The Witcher Season Two, but we may also even see more of him in the flesh, so to speak.

This year’s WitcherCon was a great celebration for those new and old to get together to talk about all things Witcher related. Fans finally got a more in-depth trailer of Season Two of The Witcher as well as the making of The Witcher 3 and even an interview with the man himself, Henry Cavill, as he discussed changes he has made to Geralt. During the interview with Josh Horowitz, Cavill talked about how Geralt’s stony manner in Season One was actually how he wanted it. Cavill said that he wanted the viewers to see Geralt “in the wilds without the opportunity for vast wades of dialogue”.

If you happen to love the sound of The White Wolf’s grizzly tone, you’ll be happy to hear that he will have much more to say as we slide into Season Two. “But in the Season 2 scenario, he is in Kaer Morhen, his home space, amongst the people he knows, and, in my opinion, I was to be verbose and be intellectual because that is what he is. He’s not a brute.”

Adding onto that, Cavill said, “It is very easy to fall down the line of him being the grumpy snowman and there is a comedy aspect to that, and I wanted to lean away from it in Season 2.”

Naturally, a question came in from a fan that asked something we have all been thinking of – yes, you have thought of it. The question posed was if there would be any new bathtub scenes of Geralt in Season Two. Unfortunately, Geralt naked in a bath isn’t happening this time but, Cavill did state that “people will not be disappointed because there’s plenty of man-flesh to be observed.“

The Witcher Season 2 will return to our screens on 17 December but to keep us going until then, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will be available on Netflix on August 23.
