According to a scan of this week’s Shonen Jump magazine in Japan, CyberConnect2’s Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch at some point in the future.

The package contains Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The first title covers the entirety of Naruto’s childhood, up until the epic first battle between him and Sasuke at the Valley of the End. Storm 2 covers Naruto Shippuden up until Pain’s assault arc. The third title in the mainline series covers the events prior to and during the early stages of the Fourth Shinobi World War. Unfortunately, the package doesn’t include the fourth and final game in the series.

Since I grew up with these games, the prospect of having them available to me on the Switch is really awesome. They’re some of the best anime fighters out there and the definitive way to experience the story of Naruto in my opinion.

As of right now, there’s no indication of when the series will make its way onto the handheld-console hybrid but it’ll likely be sometime in the near future. Until then, you can check out all four of the main entry Ultimate Ninja Storm games on PS4 and Xbox One. The three main entry titles originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360, while the first game was a PS3 exclusive earlier in the console’s lifetime.
