Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac developer Edmund McMillen announced his newest game The Legend of Bum-bo will be delayed to the first half of 2018.

On Twitter, McMillen stated the setback is due to expanding on what was initially announced back in 2016. While this is some sad news for those anticipating its release, McMillen assures that more news and a teaser trailer will be unveiled by February.

The Legend of Bum-bo is a randomly generated, turn-based puzzle RPG set to release for Steam and iOS. You will play as Bumbo — of The Binding of Isaac fame — as you fight groups of enemies to take their coins to spend at the “casino zone” to improve your spells and raise your stats.

The Super Meat Boy creator will be co-developing The Legend of Bum-bo with James Id, who helped McMillen develop Fingered and make ads for The Binding of Isaac. A blog for the game is available that details the creation of the upcoming puzzle RPG and its unique mechanics.

In other Edmund McMillen related news, the popular platformer Super Meat Boy will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on January 11th, 2018. It is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PC, PS Vita, Wii U, Android, and iOS
