The Latest Splatfest for Splatoon 2 in Europe Pits Books Against Movies

If you’re an avid Splatoon 2 player, then you know that the series’ Splatfest events ask players to choose a side in some of the most hard-hitting debates of our time, like ketchup v. mayonnaise, sci-fi v. fantasy, flight v. invisibility, and more.

Today, Nintendo UK has announced the latest Splatfest coming to Splatoon 2 in Europe. Book lovers will go head to head against film fanatics in a turf war. The Splatfest will begin next Saturday and European players can pick a side all throughout the upcoming week.

Towards the end of November, Nintendo announced two of the biggest updates coming to the title before the end of the year. The first update that dropped last month added four maps into the game, two of which are returning from the first title on Wii U. Also, a new Salmon Run map has been added, as well as new gear, hairstyles, and more. The second update will be adding a new game mode to Splatoon 2 sometime this month. Like all updates for the game, they’ll be released to all players free of charge.

Splatoon 2 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re a European player, let us know down below what side you’ll be aligning with. I would personally side with films on this one although I do have a soft spot for a good book.
