Soedesco confirmed today that both Flying Carpets Games’ The Girl and the Robot Deluxe Edition and Milkstone Studios’ Pharaonic Deluxe Edition will be launching this Friday, September 29. The Girl and Robot Deluxe Edition is just coming to PS4, while Pharaonic Deluxe Edition is coming to both PS4 and Xbox One.

These physical Deluxe Editions were both originally set to hit store shelves on September 22, but their release got delayed a week. Both Deluxe Editions come with both a physical copy of the game itself, and a disc containing said game’s soundtrack. Pharaonic was composed by Carlos Viola of The Last Door fame, while Eiko Nichols, who composed the soundtrack of Earthlock: Festival of Magic crafted The Girl and Robot’s soundtrack.

Hans van Brakel Executive Manager of Soedesco, had the following to say about publishing physical versions of these indie games:

“Offering indie developers the possibility to give their game a boxed release is what makes Soedesco unique as a publisher. We are aware of trends and have moved into the digital space as well, but we know that there is a lot of life left in boxed releases.”

For those of you who don’t know, Pharaonic is a Dark Souls inspired side scrolling combat-RPG set within ancient Egypt that came out digitally in 2016. Pharaonic is also a very tough game, and there are secondary and hidden paths scattered across its world for more dedicated players to find.

Meanwhile, The Girl and the Robot is a more laid-back Ico and The Legend of Zelda inspired action-adventure puzzler. The game has players constantly switching between the titular girl and robot to both solve puzzles and fight enemies. The story focuses on the pair’s growing bond as they try to escape the clutches of an evil witch.

You can check out trailers for each game below to get a feeling for how they play. Pharaonic Deluxe Edition will be available physically on PS4 and Xbox One and The Girl and the Robot Deluxe will hit retail for PS4 on September 29.
