If you’re still wandering around the world of The Elder Scrolls Online as you wait for the arrival of the upcoming Greymoor expansion, then you’re in for a treat as a new official release date has been announced alongside additional details.

Announced back in January, Greymoor is the second expansion of four that are to release throughout 2020. We’ve already seen Harrowstone added to the game while Greymoor was slated to land on May 18 for PC users and June 2 for PS4 and Xbox One players. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, employees at Zenimax Online Studios have been working from home since March, and the release date was pushed to April 20.

In a new blog post, game director Matt Firor has announced the status of the upcoming expansion. The studio is “still on track for Update 26 and the Greymoor Chapter to launch only one week late.” and is confident that they can hit the new release date. May 26 should be when PC and Mac players can jump into Greymoor, and June 9 should be when Xbox One and PS4 players get to join in.

Firor does state that this could change should something happen out of their control and reminds the community that the studio has never released a major update remotely before. Additionally, he states that due to lockdowns, there are more people playing the game than at any point since 2015. As a result, the team has increased server capacity to PC EU. The team is also aware of a “delayed-input” problem and is also looking for other performance-related issues to fix.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor expansion is to land on May 26 for PC and Mac, and a touch later for PS4 and Xbox One players on June 9. The base game is available to purchase now.
