Awfully Nice Studios, News, Originals, PC, PS4, Switch, The Bug Butcher, Xbox One

Summer. We all know the despair we feel when the weather warms up and bugs of all shapes and sizes seem to come out of the woodwork to terrorize humankind. Wouldnt it be great if you could wield a zapping device, Ghostbusters-style, and wipe out those crawling critters? Well, now you can in The Bug Butcher.

Developer 2Awesome Studio is finally bringing their game to Nintendo Switch, which is already available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In partnership with Awfully Nice Studios, this will be their first game as publisher and for those attending Gamescom, they will get a chance to play it there, along with other games they have yet to announce.

In case you have never heard of The Bug Butcher, what is it about?:

The Bug Butcher is an action-packed 2D side scrolling shoot em up game where peril comes from above. So in a nutshell, pest control with machine guns in space. The core mechanics hold old ties from the classic arcade shooter “Super Pang” where you shoot vertically, but with modern-day twists. You are Harry, a brash and tenacious exterminator who has a knack for decimating bugs.

2Awesome Studio has yet to state when The Bug Butcher will become available to play and have only announced that it will be this summer but to keep you ticking along until then, you can find a Switch launch trailer and some screenshots below.
