Gumi Inc. announced they will be publishing the global release of The Alchemist Code for iOS and Android.

The Alchemist Code is based off the mobile game released in Japan called For Whom The Alchemist Exists, and focuses on grid based SRPG combat with a full cast of characters.

Hironao Kunimitsu, CEO and President of gumi Inc., said: “The Alchemist story has captivated audiences in Japan and garnered a dedicated fanbase in Japan, with growing interest worldwide. With that, we are excited to announce today that we will be bringing the rich and vast Alchemist universe to players worldwide in our upcoming mobile title, The Alchemist Code.”

Kunimitsu-san adds, “We look forward to expanding the Alchemist universe globally and are delighted to showcase the unmatched talents of the title’s development team, which comprises acclaimed creators, such as OP Animation Director Shōji Kawamori (Macross series, Aquarion) and renowned composer and pianist, Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts, Street Fighter II, Mario & Luigi), who composed the Main Theme Song & Music. The title also features world class voice acting from popular Japanese voice talents, like Natsuki Hanae, Kaito Ishikawa and Yōko Hikasa and more.”

Additionally, a teaser trailer was released introducing a handful of characters and giving a preview of the game’s battle system. The game follows protagonists Agatha, Logi, and Dias who each hold a different viewpoint on power. There are also customizable character options with gear bought or found in battles.

More information about The Alchemist Code will be released soon.
