As the long-awaited follow-up to one of their most acclaimed series, Telltale Games’s upcoming season season of The Wolf Among Us is one that many fans are surely looking forward to, though unfortunately the wait will be just a little longer for the premiere.
Developer Telltale Games has announced that The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 will now be expected to debut in 2019, after previously announcing that the series’ second season would debut at some point later this year.
The studio explained that the delay “comes as the result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer,” which could be referring to the studio’s recent restructuring that occurred late last year. Telltale also added that the studio is also committing to “exploring new ways to tell our stories,” and explained that “taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special.”
While the delay is sure to disappoint some fans who have been anticipating the series’ second season for some time, Telltale explained that “these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work,” and added that the team is “extremely enthusiastic about how the game is progressing so far.” More news on the game can be expected “later this year,” according to Telltale.
The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 is currently in development and expected to debut sometime in 2019.
