Bandai Namco recently launched Sword Art Online: Integral Factor in the west as a free-to-play mobile game on iOS and Android devices.

Sword Art Online: Integral Factor is based on a virtual MMORPG called Sword Art Online where players get to explore a world created by Akihiko Kayaba. However, the story turns dark as players discover that if they die in the game, they die in real life. The only way to escape is to beat all 100 floors of a castle dungeon known as Aincrad.

In Sword Art Online: Integral Factor, players are able to explore towns and dungeons as an original character. Gameplay centers around tapping the screen to execute attacks and skills while completing quests and upgraded equipment. Additionally, there are co-op features that allow players to play with others and take out tough enemies.

To give a preview of the game, we were able to record some of our gameplay as we explored the game’s systems during a GDC showcase in San Francisco. The game features 3D worlds with large maps and a many quests to accept from townspeople that include hunting monsters, completing dungeons, item collecting, and more.
