Today Bandai Namco released a sizable batch of screenshots of its upcoming action-JRPG/third-person shooter hybrid Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet.

We get to see one of the weapons in the arsenal of the main protagonist. The ArFA-Sys AI gave him (or her) the UFG, or Ultimate Fiber Gun. It’s actually a tool that has not been implemented yet officially in Gun Gale Online. It enables three-dimensional maneuvering through the use of a strong wire, and it’s said to be bound to change the gameplay of the VRMMORPG.

Of course, draws the attention of the whole server, and the protagonist becomes the center of a lot of expectations and envy.

It’s certainly a powerful item in Gun Gale Online, as it allows to reach higher places, move quickly by using it horizontally, and shoot down flying enemies.

Gun Gale Online is also a world in which PvP is encouraged, so the protagonist will often encounter enemy players, who will be much stronger than NPCs. Even more powerful, are players with a bounty over their head. Many of them are proud of this distinguishing mark, but the player can earn a lot of money by defeating them.

The basic gameplay lets you control a party of four, to whom you can give orders like “stand-by” or “focus fire.”

Today we also see the return of two more waifus, which are Yuuki and Strea. Like other returning characters, they both have new outfits. On top of them, we see Death Gun, and LLENN and Pitohui from the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online manga, whom will also appear in the game.

Last, but not least, we also see the usual fanservice-driven CGI scenes.
