Super Robot Wars X Shows 25-Minutes of Battle and Mashin Hero Wataru Story Gameplay

Bandai Namco launched a new gameplay extended video for their upcoming mech strategy game Super Robot Wars X.

The video is 25-minutes long which shows the second episode and plenty of mech-action gameplay along with some story scenes. Players also get a preview of the animated visual scenes from classic mech anime Mashin Hero Wataru, which aired from 1988 to 1998 and stars a 12-year-old boy named Wataru Ikusabe as he gains control of a mech after being transported to an alternate universe. Some might remember this character as Keith Courage.

Super Robot Wars X combines the genres of sci-fi with a variety of robot mech series all featured in one crossover action game. Players will get to choose mechs and pilots from across multiple series including, Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water, plus Gundam Reconguista in G, Mashin Hero Wataru, Buddy Complex and Buddy Complex Final Act. Furthermore, each character will be featured in an original story that intertwines the various series into one story.

In case you missed it, the publisher recently 13-minutes of gameplay as well as a new trailer.

Super Robot Wars X will release in Japan on March 29 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, followed by the launch in Southeast Asia on April 26. Western fans of the series will enjoy the news that the Asian version will include English subtitles, alongside Japanese voices.
