Critically-acclaimed platformer Super Meat Boy is making its way onto the Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made on the developer’s official Twitter account yesterday evening.

Originally released in 2010 Super Meat Boy is a platform game; players assume the role of the titular character whose appearance is a small, dark red, cube-shaped and must defeat the evil scientist Dr. Fetus and save his girlfriend, Bandage Girl. With over 300 levels to play through, the game is divided up into chapters; to complete each stage, players must reach the end of the level while avoiding crumbling blocks, saw blades, and various other lethal obstacles crossing your path.

Upon its release, Super Meat Boy was well received by critics, praising the game’s retro-inspired visuals, controls, and soundtrack. The most notable feature of the game was the traditional gameplay and difficulty similar to NES platform games like Ghost and Goblins.
