Image & Form Games, who released SteamWorld Dig 2 earlier this year, announced today that they would be closing out 2017 by releasing SteamWorld Heist on Nintendo Switch as SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition. This version of the game will include all of the game’s DLC and is poised to release on December 28.

For those of you who don’t know, SteamWorld Heist is a turned based strategy game that was initially released by Image & Form in 2015 on the 3DS. It has since made its way to a wide variety of different systems. The game’s sidescrolling perspective, sci-fi setting, and emphasis on ricocheting shots off of walls made it a very unique and enjoyable experience for me, and DualShockers’ very own Lou Contaldi seemed to think the same in his review.

SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition will cost $19.99, and includes all of the DLC the game has received on other platforms. This includes an additional character, new gear, and new hats. This version of the game will also feature optional touch controls, taking advantage of the Switch’s unique capabilities. Nintendo’s new system also seems to be doing well for itself, as it has sold over 10 million units in its first nine months on the market.
