Today Square Enix officially opened the digital pre-orders in Japan for the PS4 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster.

Together with that, they released the first screenshots, that you can check out below. The first PS4 gameplay was also showcased during a livestream, and you can enjoy that at the bottom of the post.

The game will cost 2,800 yen plus taxes, which translates to about 25 bucks. Those who will pre-order the game on PS4 will get a theme, an avatar set, and a 10% discount. Pre-orders for PC are not available yet (they’re quite likely to go live after the western release will be announced, but this is just my personal speculation), and pre-order bonuses will also be announced at a later date.

The game will run at 1080p on standard PS4 and will support up to 4K on PS4 and PC. Interestingly, the PS4 version lets players select the resolution, alongside quite a few other visual settings like shadows, camera blur, antialiasing, depth of field, character display distance and texture resolution like the PC Version. This can actually be seen in the gameplay below.

The PS4 version will have trophies and the PC version will include Steam Achievements, as well as supporting mouse and keyboard controls, and the ability to hide the UI.

You can check out the assets just below, and in case you missed it, you can also watch the original trailer.
