We post a lot of trailers here on good ol’ DualShockers.com and a lot of them tend to be hit or miss. But today, I have to give it up to Square Enix and Avalanche Studios for putting out some of the best I’ve seen in quite some time for next week’s release of Just Cause 4.

In total, Square just released five new trailers for Just Cause 4 with each video being in the style of action movie trailers that you would have seen in the past. The eras covered include the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s. If you’ve seen any old action movies from these time periods, or more specifically, their trailers, then you’ll find the way in which these Just Cause 4 videos have emulated them to be quite cool.

Personally, I love the 1960s and 1970s trailers the most, mainly because it’s funny to look back on how strange and choppy trailers back then used to be. I also appreciate the font choice that each trailer uses. The 2000s trailer is clearly trying to mimic the Fast & Furious logo while the 1980s version is mirroring that of First Blood. If you watch these trailers for yourself, let me know in the comments which one you like the most.

You can see all five trailers attached below. Just Cause 4 is slated to release next week on December 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you still haven’t pre-ordered the game ahead of release, you can still snag it over on Amazon.
