Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius has been quite the success for Square Enix, and it’s not so rare to see mobile titles ported to consoles or at least to PC. At Gamscom in Cologne, DualShockers had a chat with Producer Hiroki Fujimoto, and we quizzed him on whether a move to PS4, Xbox One, Switch or Windows is a possibility for the future.

Fujimoto-san explained that the team isn’t planning to bring the game to other platforms for the moment. They’re focusing on improving its popularity on mobile platforms instead. Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius was recently launched in South Korea, and Square Enix feels that there are still many local markets that have not been tapped yet.

On top of that, supporting more languages is also seen as a priority, since at the moment the game includes only six. Expanding the localization would result in bringing in many more players.

Recently Square Enix released a custom version of the game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Tap! on Facebook Instant Game, but unfortunately we won’t be able to play it on consoles, or natively on PC for the time being.

Final Fantasy: Brave Exviusis currently available for iOS and Android. It recently made headlines for  two events featuring pop star Ariana Grande as a playable character, and even received characters from NieR: Automata.
