Sega launched new gameplay from their upcoming action game Sonic Forces, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on November 7.
The gameplay shows a boss battle between the Bird Hero Character equipped the Lightning Wispen, and the Cat Hero Character using the Cube Wispon. These hero characters each have different abilities that the player can utilize in battle. Furthermore, players will be able to switch between characters using a new system called “Rental Avatar”, which makes it easy for players to swap Heros.
Rental Avatar is a feature that gives access to Hero Characters that other players have created around the world, granting players the option to use their Wispons and swap between characters using the “Rental Avatar” at any point during gameplay. This can provide numerous possibilities of hilarious and memorable results. This feature is mainly to allow player to utilize two different Wispons in a single level to find secret paths that their current Wispon wouldn’t be able to get to.
Additionally, the gameplay also shows scenes from a battle against the new villain, Infinite. Players can get a preview of Infinite doing his hover attack while shooting swarms of red cubes to inflict damage against the player.
Lastly, additional gameplay has been provided showing the Bird Hero Character utilizing the Drill Wispon in the Chemical Plant level.
