Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Getting Physical Release on PS4 and Switch

The developers behind Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games, have revealed that they’ll be bringing physical copies of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove to Nintendo Switch and PS4. Treasure Trove includes the base Shovel Knight game, Plague of Shadows, Spectre of Torment, King of Cards, and finally, Shovel Knight: Shodown. That’s a lot of content to get through, and if you haven’t ever played the title before, now is a better time than ever with all of the DLC finally revealed.

As of right now, King of Cards and Showdown are the last two pieces of DLC, and they’re both currently unavailable. They’ll each come out on the same day, April 9, 2019. The physical release of Treasure Trove will be available that same day as well. It’ll cost you $39.99. If you’re not interested in a physical copy, you can get the digital version right now for $24.99.

For those that own Shovel Knight on other platforms like Wii U and 3DS, every version will be receiving the King’s Knight DLC. As for Showdownthat, unfortunately, won’t make it to the Nintendo 3DS or Vita versions. Furthermore, Yacht Club Games gave fans a release date for their upcoming amiibo three-pack which features Spectre Knight, Plague Knight, and King Knight. If you haven’t seen them before, they look absolutely awesome. They’ll be available on April 9 as well.

Shovel Knight originally released in 2014 and is available on Switch, 3DS, Wii U, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, and PC.
