Are you ready to play a skateboarding video game on a console? Well, you won’t have to wait too long. Session is finally coming to Xbox One next week, on June 17.

Revealed in a tweet from Creature Studios (stylized creā-ture Studios), Session is coming to Xbox One via Xbox Game Preview on June 17. There is a trial for the skateboarding sim right now and the game will unlock when it launches next week.

Creature Studios revealed Session would be coming to the Xbox One during the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing. Since then, the game’s console debut has received several delays. Despite that, the studio seems to be working diligently on the project, as the PC version has been receiving updates consistently since it launched on Steam Early Access in September last year.

Personally, I have been playing a lot of Session on PC, as it has been available via Steam Early Access for some time now. I absolutely love it. I spent time with both Skater XL and Creature Studios’ efforts, both of which are great. That being said, I prefer Session. It has a rather steep learning curve, but once you get a handle of the controls, it is incredibly satisfying. It has such a deep trick system that rivals the beloved EA franchise Skate. I definitely recommend it if you have the patience to learn its mechanics.

As mentioned, Session will be available on Xbox One via Xbox Game Preview on June 17. If you can’t wait, you can pick it up on Steam right now and start skating.

I previewed Session back in September last year. I applauded Creature Studios’ efforts saying, “Skate 4 may be dead, but we have something potentially better with Session.” You can check out the preview if you want to see my full thoughts.

In other skateboarding video game news, Skater XL‘s release date has been pushed a few weeks. You can check out all the details here.
