In a recent interview with VG247, Yasuhiro Kitao, FromSoftware’s communications manager, gave some insight as to just how big the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be.

While Kitao-san didn’t necessarily give the specific amount of time players can expect to find themselves in this world, he did mention that it’s obviously going to be very different from player to player, especially considering the game’s difficult nature.

He says that in terms of scope and size, the game will be very similar to what the studio has tackled before. When the interviewer asked if Kitao-san meant it would be similar in scope and size to their recent titles, like Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, he replied, “Yes, that’s correct.”

Nevertheless, Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne were both games that took many hours to complete, and for the completionists out there, both titles took even longer. Sekiro appears to be deviating from the FromSoftware norm in some of the more intricate game mechanics revolving around the main character’s abilities and the world.

We recently got to record 16 minutes of gameplay footage straight out of Gamescom 2018. Furthermore, after announcing the game’s 2019 release date Activision and FromSoftware revealed new details about Sekiro‘s collector’s edition.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22, 2019.
