Earlier this week Sega revealed a ton of new information about the future of the Yakuza series as well as a surprise Fist of the North Star game titled Hokuto Ga Gotoku.

Yakuza Online is a mobile free-to-play title coming to Android and iOS in 2018. It’ll take place following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. You play as a brand new protagonist named Kasuga Ichiban. A console project titled Shin Yakuza was also announced but very few details were given other than that the two games will feature the new main character.

On top of all that Sega also announced Yakuza Kiwami 2, a complete remake of Yakuza 2 from the PS2 era. The game is built from the ground up using the Yakuza 6 engine. It will be released in Japan and Asia in December. Also, a Fist of the North Star game based on the manga of the same name was revealed and is being developed by the Yakuza team under the title Hokuto Ga Gotoku. The story will be completely original and will take place in the same universe as the manga. It’s coming to PS4 in Japan sometime in 2018.

While no release outside of Japan is currently planned for any of the games that were announced, Sega has opened up a brief survey asking fans worldwide about their interest in all of them coming overseas. So if you want to play any of the games mentioned above in English, be sure to make your voice heard by taking the survey.
