After the announcement of the Seiken Densetsu 2 remake Secret of Mana at the end of August, Square Enix has kept its cards close to its chest for a while, not showing much in terms of gameplay, until now.

During a livestream on Twitch, the publisher showcased about eight minutes of gameplay from the demo playable on the showfloor at PAX West in Seattle.

The demo showcases the beginning of the game, which will prove familiar to those who enjoyed the original game, even if the visuals are completely new.

In the video, we get to see cutscenes, dialogue and plenty of basic combat. We also hear that there are no plans for online co-op, as the game will retain its original features, which included couch-co-op with up to three players.

You can enjoy the video below, and if you want to see and know more about the game, you can also check out the announcement trailer and screenshots from a few days ago, and a gallery of screenshots and artwork from Famitsu.

The game will will launch worldwide on February 15th, 2018, for PS4, PS Vita and Steam.
