Not too long ago, Nintendo released a trailer highlighting characters both new and old from the Legend of Zelda franchise that are now featured in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. Now, the second trailer has dropped, and with it, we get to revisit beloved characters from some of the older classics in the series.

Also, Tingle.

We get to see Marin from Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and her ability to summon magic-flying-whale-god the Windfish to decimate foes. The sages from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have also returned, including Ruto of the Zora, Daruna of the Goron and Sheik of the Sheikah. They each have cuts showcasing their unique abilities and skills

We also get to see some characters from my personal favorite Zelda game, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. These include adorable Young Link, who has the ability to wear the beastly Fierce Deity Mask and take on the form of the titular god. Skull Kid, who serves as Majora’s avatar, is also showcased alongside Tatl and Tael, as well as everyone’s favorite spandex-clad weirdo and “fairy”, Tingle.

Man, these character trailers remind me how weird the characters of the Legend of Zelda franchise are.

Still, the trailers are doing well to hype up the characters in the upcoming Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition–at least for me, anyway. Hyrule Warriors initially launched on the Wii-U back in 2014, and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be releasing for the Switch on May 18, 2018. It will feature a roster of over 25 characters both old and new, so if you’re a fan of the series and didn’t have the opportunity to pick up Hyrule Warriors on the Wii-U or just want a copy on the latest console, look forward to the game’s release on the Switch soon.

You can check out our review of both Hyrule Warriors for the Wii-U and Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS. You can also preorder your copy of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition on Amazon here.
