As many gamers know, being an alpha and beta tester is often an unrewarding experience. While access to the game comes for free, most alpha and beta testers are essentially providing integral quality support checks and server checks on broken or potentially buggy games. And normally, after everything is said and done, testers are required to buy the game at full cost. With this in mind, developer Scavengers Studio is looking to reward Darwin Project testers for their hard work by giving them a free copy.
Yes, you read that right — as an act of goodwill, Scavengers Studio is giving a copy of their game out for free for everyone who was willing to help them in alpha and beta testing of Darwin Project. According to the studio, “our core community is the most important to continue developing the game.”
News comes by way of an excited video posted to Scavengers Studio’s official Twitter account:

The Canadian studio is obviously excited to share the goodwill with the community. That’s not to say this won’t benefit them — any battle royale game (especially with the growing influence of Fortnite) wants as many players in the first days as possible. But that’s not to say any goodwill to a dedicated gaming community is any cheaper because it benefits both parties.
